Complete transformation of an 1890's floating residence into a modern dwelling for a professional couple. In 1980 the original home had been encapsulated inside a new roof and walls. Completely removing the 1890's structure from within allowed us to raise the ceiling height 18 inches. Only the roof, two exterior walls and floor remained. Every window and door was enlarged. We moved the kitchen off of the waterfront and put the living space up on the water's edge in front of an outsize double  sliding glass door.

"I am the most fortunate one to be living here. It already feels like I have lived here for years. I have in my dreams.

There is more going on here that transcends your profession."

Making people feel like this is why we design.
